Illustrating Harrassment in the Workplace

In 2018 we were approached by IATSE514, the Montreal branch of the international union of technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, to create an online course on harassment in the workplace.

We chose a genderless approach in our drawings. Thomas Durcudoy, a talented illustrator from Paris, joined our team of  writers to dissect the course and find a creative way to illustrate these issues. On top of the genderless approach, we also made sure not to style the characters with an identifiable style, for example a mini-skirt that could lead to judgement and sexist justification of the harassers behaviour.

There are many types of harassment in the workplace.

Can you tell which ones are illustrated here?
